Sharing skills

“Practice, practice, practice and all is coming”

– Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Ashtanga yoga guru

Starting any new project in life – whether learning a language or how to ride a bike – involves slowly negotiating the complexities of new information and skills. Initially these may seem indecipherable and inaccessible, but with time and practice many small triumphs begin to accumulate almost imperceptibly in a process of learning.

As a teacher, mentor, and coach, I reflect upon my own skills in order to share them with others. This process is central to my teaching philosophy, an evolving statement that I first developed while completing an accredited Associate Teacher Programme at Lancaster University. My teaching experience includes undergraduate social science courses, rhetoric (writing and presentation skills) workshops and coaching, and facilitation in the arts and non-profit sector.
